The Dr. Ambachew Mekonnen Foundation (AMF) is thrilled to announce the successful start of our project in Addis Ketema Sub-city, Addis Ababa, which launched on April 26, 2024. As part of this initiative, we have distributed the first round of dignity kits and commenced training sessions for middle school students from marginalized communities.
The dignity kits contain essential items such as sanitary pads, soaps, and other personal hygiene products, ensuring that our beneficiaries can maintain their menstrual health and dignity. Alongside the distribution, we have begun training sessions focused on hygiene management and self-care practices, empowering students with the knowledge and skills to take care of their personal hygiene and overall well-being.
AMF CEO, Meaza Ambachew, expressed her satisfaction with the project’s progress. “We are delighted to begin this important work, providing essential resources and knowledge to our beneficiaries. These dignity kits and training sessions are fundamental to our mission of fostering positive change and supporting the development of our communities,” she said.
The AMF remains dedicated to enhancing the lives of those in need through continuous support, education, and resource provision. We are excited about the impact we can make and look forward to furthering our efforts in creating lasting change.
